The Wald trail starts in the charming hamlet of Tschafein near Galtür and offers a varied route through serene winter scenery. Spanning 5 kilometres, it begins with a flat stretch along the Trisanna before ascending gently into snow-covered forests. A romantic clearing with a forest chapel provides a perfect spot to pause. This intermediate trail connects to the Mathon trail downstream and the Tschafein trail upstream. It’s a haven of peace and natural beauty.
