The Cross Country Climb leads through the picturesque winter landscape of the Vermunt Valley and is one of the sporting highlights of the cross-country skiing calendar. The starting point is Galtür, and the finish line is on the majestic Silvretta-Bielerhöhe – a panorama that will inspire you.

Participants can choose between three challenging distances depending on their fitness level, motivation and ambition: the LIGHT route, the MEDIUM route and the more demanding HARD route. Depending on the route, between 300 and 900 metres of altitude difference must be overcome – ideal for proving your endurance and performance.

Whether you are an ambitious amateur or an experienced competitor, the cross-country skiing competition in Galtür is open to everyone who loves cross-country skiing. At the same time, the race is part of the renowned Austria Cup and thus also offers competitive sport at the highest level – set against a breathtaking natural backdrop.

The moderately difficult MEDIUM cross-country skiing trail, at 27.9 km and 580 metres of elevation gain, offers an ideal challenge for recreational cross-country skiing. The route leads through tranquil winter landscapes with sweeping panoramic views. Varied sections allow for a steady pace and convey an authentic Nordic skiing experience. The trail is perfect for anyone looking for a sporty cross-country skiing experience close to nature.

For the Hard and Medium courses, a time limit at Weiberhimmel must be met; otherwise, the participant will be redirected to the “LIGHT” course.

Time limit #1b for LIGHT (OTL – Out of Time Limit) at “Weiberhimmel” (46.96645841312338, 10.15211263849544) 08:40 a.m.
If time limit 2 is not met, the participant will be removed from the race.

Time limit #2 for LIGHT/MEDIUM/HARD (OTL) at “Baggerloch” (46.93498, 10.13216) 09:30 a.m.
If time limit 2 is not met, the participant will be removed from the race.

Time limit #3 for MEDIUM/HARD at Hairpin 34 on the Silvretta High Alpine Road (46.91832, 10.107661) 09:50 a.m.
If time limit 3 is not met, the participant will be removed from the race.

Finish line closure: 12:00 p.m.
