The Nordic Sprint Race in Galtür brings excitement, speed and tactics to the cross-country ski trail – and is one of the absolute highlights of the Nordic racing calendar. In the heart of picturesque Galtür Winkl, participants and spectators alike can look forward to a thrilling sprint format in free technique.
The course covers a compact 1,300-metre lap with 21 metres of elevation gain – technically demanding and ideal for exciting battles for position. After an individual time trial in the qualification round, the fastest 16 athletes continue in knockout mode: two laps per heat, four skiers at a time, with only the top two advancing. Adrenaline guaranteed!
Whether you are an ambitious amateur or a World Cup-experienced professional, the race is open to anyone with a passion for cross-country skiing. Participation is part of the FIS race, the Austria Cup and the popular public race.
