A very changeable westerly weather system is determining the weather in our area and will continue to do so well beyond the upcoming weekend. After heavy rainfall during the night leading into Friday, a weak high-pressure system will initially move in. Friday will start with thick residual clouds. Then the sun will come out for a while before the next clouds will roll in towards the evening. This will be accompanied by a southerly foehn, heralding a weak disturbance from the Mediterranean region on Saturday. With mostly heavy cloud cover, a little snowfall will arrive from the south over the afternoon, which may continue for a short time during the night leading into Sunday. At the same time, significantly colder air will temporarily seep in from the north. However, this air will also be drier, so that Sunday will see temporarily sunny weather. More substantial precipitation is therefore not expected until the weekend. It may be slightly heavier at the beginning of the week with a strong westerly wind. The snow line will mostly be in low-lying valleys.
