This means that the southern foehn effects on the northern side of the Alps will be stronger than expected over the upcoming weekend, so that very sunny and pleasantly mild weather can be expected on both Saturday and Sunday. However, the prevailing high-pressure influence will continue into the upcoming week. The high over Eastern Europe will continue to block all Atlantic fronts on their way eastward. This means that very nice and stable high-pressure weather will continue to prevail. There will also be a slight foehn during the first half of next week, keeping temperatures quite mild for the season for the time being.
