24th Chefs' Star Cup

In 2024, the traditional Chefs' Star Cup will take place in a new, two-part format. Highlight for Ischgl guests and culinary fans: star and award-winning chefs from Germany and Austria will cook with their Ischgl colleagues in a four-hands dinner on Sunday evening, 21 April. The dinners can be booked with corresponding wine pairings in the following restaurants: Stüva in the Hotel Yscla, Paznauner Stube and Koya in the Hotel Trofana Royal, Schlossherrnstube in the Schlosshotel, gourmet restaurant in the Hotel Fliana and Lucy Wang. On Monday 22 April, the cooking competition will take place on the Idalp as the second part of the Star Cup. From 10:00 am, the Ischgl chefs and their guest chefs will go on a "smuggler's round" through the ski area on skis and gather the ingredients for the cookery duel at 12:00 pm at three stations. The "Ischgl Smugglers' Round" is garnished with special culinary tasks. At 2,320 metres above sea level on the Idalp, teams will then have to transform the ingredients they have collected on the way into a gourmet dish at the cooker in the Lohberger show kitchen. The six-person teams of Ischgl gourmet chefs and guest chefs have 15 minutes to convince the chef jury, consisting of cooking legends Hans Haas, Rudi & Karl Obauer and Peter Knogl, of their creation to go with Grand Siècle Itération N°25, the prestige cuvée from Champagne Laurent-Perrier. The Four Hands dinners on Sunday 21 April can be booked directly through the Ischgl toque-awarded restaurants from 10 March. Spectators are welcome on Monday, 22 April from 12:00 noon in front of the stage. Further information: www.sterne-cup-der-koeche.de
