Welcome to the Alpine Cheese Olympics in Galtür, Tyrol - the heart of Alpine cheese culture. This unique event attracts cheese lovers and alpine dairies from all over the Alps to celebrate tradition and culinary highlights. More than 100 Alpine dairies from Austria, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and Liechtenstein compete with their best cheeses, which are judged by a panel of experts. These cheeses have unique flavours influenced by the alpine flora. Visitors can taste the variety of cheeses, from creamy soft to tangy hard, and talk directly to the producers about the production process and the stories behind the cheeses. An unforgettable experience that combines tradition, quality and culinary excellence.

As a visitor, you have the chance to sample a wide range of cheese specialties from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm – whether you're a fan of Alpine and mountain cheese, Emmentaler, or Tilsit, or have a preference for different textures.
