Silvretta High-Alpine Road
A dream for sporty adventures: Silvretta mountain pass
Silvretta High-Alpine Road is one of Tyrol’s most stunning Alpine pass roads. Featuring lots of fascinating serpentines and hairpin bends, the road runs from Partenen through the Paznaun valley to Galtür. The twisty route is a favourite with motorcyclists, mountain bikers and road cyclists alike, all of whom regularly flock to the Alpine dream road.

The Montafon side closes from 13 October at 6:30 pm. The Paznaun side is open up to and including 27 October.

- Start and end point: from Partenen (1,051 m) in the Montafon valley to Galtür (1,725 m) in the Paznaun valley
- Highest elevation: 2,032 above sea level at Bielerhöhe
- Number of turns: 34
- Gradient: 10 % to 12 % max – about 5 % in the turns
- Year of construction: 1925 to 1930, opened to the public in 1954
- Opening times: Silvretta High-Alpine Road is only open during the summer months.
